1.5K in prizes, up for grabs

We have recently been made aware of other bike events going on on Sunday, September 12th, the day we chose for our postponement date. Out of respect and support of the other riding clubs, and due to current wavering weather predictions, we are cancelling the beach and barbecue portion of the event for this year.

However, thanks to our awesome sponsors, we have several great raffle prizes that you can bid on! We have over $1,500 in raffle prizes ready to be claimed! If you bought a ticket for the beach and BBQ event, you will automatically be entered into the draw for the several raffle prizes! There are two kinds of raffles going: one tailored to riders and one tailored to non-riders, each with several interesting prizes up for grabs! Raffle tickets are 20$ for two tickets. You can put all of your tickets towards rider prizes or non-rider prizes, or you can split up your tickets in each basket however you would like.

To purchase raffle tickets, please go to this website: https://hearhear.nationbuilder.com/hear_for_the_ride

If you would like to purchase your tickets by e-transfer, you can send an e-transfer to heidywager@hearhear.org. Please write in the note section whether you would like your ticket(s) to be put into the rider or non-rider (or a combination of both) raffle baskets to let us know which draw you would like to enter.

Please make sure to fill out your name, email, and phone number on the online ticket purchase form! Once they are purchased, we will send you a photo of your ticket. We will be doing a Facebook Live draw on October 4, 2021! Make sure to follow our social media pages below!

All proceeds from the raffle tickets will be put towards supporting programming that helps the hard of hearing community and the disaster relief effort in Haiti. A portion of the sales made from the raffle tickets will be given to the Foundation Severe d’Haiti. We are choosing to support this organization because they have been a direct, on-the-ground support for people in Haiti during the ongoing humanitarian and environmental crisis. This is a wonderful organization that we are happy to support! The goal of this event was to raise awareness about Noise-Induced Hearing Loss. Although we cannot share that information with you in the format that we had hoped to, our Executive Director, Heidy Wager, and the covergirl of our most recent edition of the HEARHEAR Magazine, Kaylee Alex Irvin, will be at all of the local bike nights over the next couple of weeks selling raffle tickets and promoting NIHL awareness.

We would like to send a special shoutout to Phil and Gerry and all of the bike clubs for their support of this event. We couldn’t do this without you! We look forward to seeing you all at the beach party next year!

Hear Entendre Québec is pleased to be collaborating with Team Fly Motor Club to invite you to HEAR FOR THE RIDE, an exciting charity bike ride, BBQ, and beach day event at Sablon beach where we will raise awareness about Noise-induced hearing loss.

With the purchase of your ticket, you will receive a free BBQ meal and drink! One drink will come free with your ticket, other drinks can be purchased at the depanneur on site. Additional hot dogs and hamburgers can be purchased as well. There will be live entertainment provided by DJ Blaster and DJ Judgement. We will have an information booth set up to raise awareness about the effects of noise-induced hearing loss. We will have informative material and ear plugs! You can also buy raffle tickets for a chance to win some of our amazing prizes from our sponsors!

The beach has amenities that are fun for all ages! This will be a wonderful event to reconnect with friends and family. Bring your children and your grandchildren, and  invite your friends to celebrate with us for a good cause! We are happy to announce that a percentage of the money raised will go directly to an organization in Haiti to help them recover from the recent natural disaster.

Bikers will meet at 9:30 am at Petro Canada off of the Sources exit on Highway 40. Kickstands will be up by 10 am sharp for the scenic ride to the beach.

Beach-goers can meet at the beach as of 10 am.

If you are driving to the event or need a lift, please fill out this carpooling form: Carpooling form
