Access Comedy 2022

Sponsored by Masliah

We are very excited to announce our 3rd Annual fully accessible comedy show fundraiser. Our goal is to raise funds for our new Awareness and Accessibility program and reinforce how to offer accessible and inclusive events by creating awareness within an inclusive environment so that everyone with disabilities is included in the fun! This event will allow us to further embody a sense of community for people with hearing loss and other disabilities.

This year, we double our impact with two shows! Our French show will be hosted by the renowned comedian and Youtuber, Preach, a hilarious Montrealer who is destined for stardom. Our English show will be hosted by Hear Entendre’s very own Abby Stonehouse both shows will showcase local talent and little surprise!

This event will be fully accessible for everyone, please see below for more information on the accessibility measures that will be offered at the event. We’d love to hear from you, get in touch with us about your specific accessibility needs that you’d like to see incorporated at events. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at

Hosts and Comedians

Erich Preach – Comedian

In the comedy industry for more than 5 years, Erich was pushed on the scene by Mike Ward, who discovered him at the “Bordel Comédie Club” where he was working as a doorman. Since that moment, Erich accumulated solo appearances everywhere, while continuing his work for the duo “Aba and Preach”. He developed his experience with his first “Aba and Preach” show for the Just For Laugh Festival in 2019 and it was an instant success! The “Aba and Preach” Youtube Channel has now more than 1.7 million followers and continues to grow. Sharp, provocative, hilarious, and authentic, Erich will make you see the real things with a new perspective.

Abby Stonehouse – Host

Abby Stonehouse is a stand-up comedian, writer, and producer. Her storytelling comedy style juxtaposes her hopeful and honest approach to life with the horrific nitty-gritty of reality. Abby made her OFF-JFL/Zoofest debut in the summer of 2018 and will be part of the festival again this year. In May 2019 she performed and co-produced Montreal’s first fully accessible comedy show; Comedy for a Cause: Accessibility for All. Being a comedian that lives with hearing loss, this show was near and dear to her heart. She is now the creator and producer of the Montreal comedy show GET FXCKED. She is also the co producer of Comedy on Demand (formally known as Lawn Laughs) and Funny Juice Open Mic. If that isn’t enough she will be dropping a new podcast this summer called House of Stone.
